NASA initially planned for her trip to be an eight day test flight, but due to certain engineering issues with Boeing's Starliner Spacecraft she and her intelligent co-pilot Butch Wilmore had to stay much longer at the International Space Station (ISS). They used the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule to return which culminated in a successful splashdown near Florida. Now having spent almost 609 days in proven space, Williams claimed the title of second most experienced US astronaut in the world.
